NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL - Resolution-Solution, LLC has hired Kathryn “Kitty” Pecko, previous Judge of Compensation Claims as a Mediator. Ellen Schnepper, a previous Mediator, has re-joined the firm. The new hires will expand their mediation and arbitration service area to include Central and South Florida. Services offered by the firm will also expand to include: workers compensation, employment discrimination (EEOC, FCRA, ADA), wage and hour, retaliatory discharge, marital dissolution and shared parental responsibility issues, appellate mediation, personal injury and foreclosure. Kathryn "Kitty" Pecko was a Judge of Compensation Claims for over 17 years. She presided over hundreds of cases in the Miami District office and later in the Fort Lauderdale District office. More than 90% of Judge Pecko’s orders were affirmed on appeal. She is certified by the Supreme Court as a Circuit Court and Appellate Mediator. Prior to her judicial tenure, Kathryn was appellate counsel in both State and Federal courts, handling cases covering a broad spectrum of substantive law. She served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Miami for 8 years. As a Board Certified Appellate attorney, Kathryn was counsel in more than 100 appellate opinions, not including PCAs, Circuit Court appellate opinions, and non-published Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal opinions. Ellen Schnepper graduated with Honors from University of Miami School of Law in 1995 and opened a private practice as an appellate attorney in both State and Federal appeals. In 2002, she became certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit and County Court Mediator, and was subsequently appointed by Governor Jeb Bush as a State Mediator at the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims. She joined Resolution-Solution as a private mediator in 2006.
